Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, wants the federal government to investigate and prosecute human right activist Femi Falana and some other highly placed Nigerians.

These are those mentioned by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami to have been compensated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with properties retrieved from corrupt persons.

The governor told newsmen in Ado Ekiti, the state capital on Monday that “it is disheartening that the likes of Falana who many Nigerians perceived as an anti-corruption crusader would be alleged of benefiting from properties retrieved from corrupt government officials”.

Fayose urged President Buhari not to spare anyone in his government accused of corruption.

The chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, also reacted to the resignation of former vice president Atiku Abubakar from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said Atiku’s resignation further confirms his position that APC is a clueless party.
