Innovation: Nigerian Youths To Design Cars
If you have a knack for designing rides, here is an opportunity to become a certified auto designer.
The new man at the helm of affairs at the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Jelani Aliyu, has put a plan in motion to scout for talented young men and women to join the Council as designers.
Aliyu said those chosen would be empowered with necessary professional training in contemporary automotive design and development using the most sophisticated technology.
“The training will help them innovate, design and develop automotive and transportation solutions that are in tune with our culture, climate, geography and economic structure.’’
He was quoted to have said this while addressing members of staff of the council on how he intends to achieve some set objectives.
“I am committed to adding significant value to the automotive sector, and I very much look forward to working with all my team at the council to positively and dynamically engage all committed stakeholders.
“My objective is to create a win-win for all the progressive companies involved and for the Nigerian people,’’ Aliyu said.
Aliyu is a reputable automotive designer who also doubles as General Motors Lead Exterior Designer, as well as the designer of Chevy Volt General Motors.
In case you don't know, that's the world’s largest automobile maker.
