Injury Blow For Super Eagles Goalkeeper
Francis Uzoho will be missing in action when the Super Eagles of Nigeria step out for their crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against South Africa's Bafana Bafana in a fortnight.
The 20-year old has also been ruled out of the planned friendly game against the Cranes Uganda in Asaba due to an injury blow that would sideline him for the next four weeks.
Uzoho, who was in action for his Spanish second division side, Elche over the weekend, was initially expected to man the post in the Eagles versus South Africa tie in Johannesburg.
The player confirmed his injury and unavailability for the upcoming games via his official Twitter account.
He wrote: “Injury is part of the game; definitely not the best timing but there are things beyond us. So sad I won’t be there for my teammates for the next four weeks. They are more than capable to get the job done. Coming back a beast. In Christ Alone,”
