Injury Blow For Argentina Striker
Manchester City have confirmed that Sergio Aguero will miss Monday night’s Premier League clash against Stoke City.
The club on it's official website explained that the Argentine striker suffered a knee injury in training over the weekend and will be assessed.
City travel to the Bet 365 Stadium, looking to move a step closer to the league title, before the Blues jet to Abu Dhabi for a warm weather training camp before the international break.
Aguero has allayed fears of a long layoff due to his latest injury setback even as there is a likelihood that he should join the squad on the trip to Abu Dhabi
During yesterday's training I had a discomfort on my left knee. The club's doctors told me I'll be back with the team in approximately two weeks. Now it's time for a full recovery!— Sergio Kun Aguero (@aguerosergiokun) March 11, 2018
If that timescale is accurate, the 29-year-old - who has scored 199 goals in City colours - will be back in time for City's visit to Everton on March 31.
