In Adamawa: Police Officer Couple And 9-Year Old Daughter Die In Midnight Fire
Mr and Mrs Bobo Salihu, both of the Nigerian Police force went to bed on the night of January 16th, 2018 along with the couple's 9-year old daughter, and husband's younger brother, also in the police force.
It would however be their last night on earth as they would later all perish in a midnight inferno.
The three police officers from the Adamawa state command lost their lives in a fire at the Karewa main police barracks, Yola which reportedly resulted from an electric surge while the occupants were asleep at about 12 midnight.
The commissioner of police Adamawa state, CP Abdullahi Yerima described the incident as unfortunate and promised that the police will do everything to assist the family of the deceased police officers.
The only surviving child of the couple is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
The deputy governor of Adamawa state, Martins Babale on behalf of the state government also commiserated with the police and prayed for the repose of the souls of those who died.
