As of October 2018, no fewer than 10 Nigerians have nabbed their party's presidential tickets to run in the 2019 general elections.

One of such Nigerians is Sahara Reporters founder, Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress (AAC).

Sowore speaking outside NECA house at Fela Talks

Sowore was a speaker at Fela Talks held in honour of the 2018 Felabration celebration where he accused the older generation of politicians of not having a proper structure, but rather they ''steal ballot papers and ballot boxes''.

Speaking further, Sowore said he is the only Nigerian presidential candidate who is going round the country to engage with the people, thereby building a solid structure to win the election.

Also, while reacting to the report of a list of 50 high profile Nigerians who have been barred from leaving the country, Sowore said:

''I personally know more than 2,000 Nigerians high profile Nigerians who are thieves, that is the APC list''.

Sowore has been very vocal in his criticism of the country's leadership and the older crop of Nigerian politicians. Earlier in the week, he declared that if God destroys Obasanjo, he'll return to the church.
