There is no iota of truth in media reports on Friday suggesting that Kelechi Iheancho is on course for a move to West Ham with a medical already being planned for the Nigerian striker.

Investigations have revealed that the report which went viral emanated from a fake Skysports Twitter account.

The report had claimed Iheanacho is set to join West Ham from Manchester City on a permanent deal for a mouthwatering  fee of 24 million pounds.

At the moment, Iheanacho is on national assignment with the Super Eagles. He scored the Eagles only goal in the friendly game against Corsica and he is getting ready for another game this time in Pars against the Hawks of Togo.

Indeed, Iheancho has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks and while it is believed that the forward is close to the exit doors from the Etihad Stadium, his next destination remains unknown.
