You cannot eat your cake and have it that seems to be the case for Odion Ighalo, Brown Ideye and the rest of the money-chasing Nigerian players in the lucrative Chinese Super League.

Invitation to the Nigeria national team for these ‘China Boys’ may now be as tough as the proverbial camel passing through the eye of the needle.

Rohr has stated that he is not inviting players from China to the Eagles because it is difficult to keep track of their performances.

This may mean that the players will now have to put up exceptional performances to attract the attention of the gaffer.

“It’s very difficult to monitor the players in China” Rohr responded when queried on why he for the umpteenth time failed to invite any for the South Africa game.

“Also, I was satisfied with the performances of the young players I have been working with for the past two weeks in France and that was why we decided to keep this group.” He added

The Franco-German however suggested that Mikel on his part was omitted because of his injury.

“You already know that one them is injured, our captain (Mikel).

The likes of Obafemi Martins and Anthony Ujah also feature in China, but they are yet to be part of Rohr’s plans.
