Ibrahimovic Out For 1 Month
He only came back from a long injury layoff recently, and just one month after, he is back on the sideline yet again.
Perhaps age is now telling on him, but one sure thing is his injury is depleting Manchester United.
With Romelu Lukaku stretchered off the pitch after just 14 minutes in Saturday’s English Premier League clash against Southampton, one would expect manager Jose Mourinho to look into the option of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But that was not the case, as Marcus Rashford was brought in instead in a tie that ended goalless.
After the game, Mourinho was answering questions why he did not feature the Swede.
“We lost Ibrahimovic for a month, he stops his run to recovery, he has been running for many months, what he needs is to play.
“A massive problem. He is a 37-year-old with a bad knee.” Mourinho said.
Ibrahimovic was re-signed by United in the summer, having departed the club at the end of last season.
