Lanre Gentry has gone past caring.

After being dragged through a domestic violence storm that includes formal arrest, a court hearing, detention, unimaginable bail conditions and the press biting away at him; Mercy Aigbe’s husband calls it quits.

He shared his thoughts on Instagram;

"I am at that stage of life where I don't care if someone stays or leaves. Que Sera; Sera

"What will be; will be. Sometimes we put so much effort trying to put broken pieces together.

"Take time to think; be appreciative of all situations and be grateful for whatever door that's been slammed on your face.

"Be grateful for what God has blocked. If you like you stay; if you like you go. I will continue to say the truth”, he wrote.

Lanre Gentry and Mercy Aigbe have been married for 7 years, before everything went south and the can of worms was opened.

Pictures of Mercy’s battered face popped up online on March 28 and since that day, life has not been easy for the hotelier.

First he was hounded by people on Instagram after Mercy Aigbe's  battered face sparked renewed advocacy against domestic violence.

On May 22, the Lagos state government in a letter written through the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, indicated its interest in prosecuting the alleged case of assault against Gentry.
