Good news for Chelsea fans.

Eden Hazard is ready for Tuesday’s opening group stage at Stamford Bridge against Qarabag.

“I feel ready, ready to be part of the team,” said Hazard who came off the bench in the later stages of the 2-1 at Leicester City on Saturday.

“I had the chance to play with the national team also last week, I did a good job there. Since one month now, I’ve been working hard to be fit.

“On Tuesday, we have the Champions League so I’m just happy to be on the pitch.”

The mercurial midfielder is not only planning to feature in the tournament, he wants to win it this season.

“As a player, you want to play In the tournament,” he did.

“Last year we just watched on TV – it’s not a good feeling, you want to play in this kind of game because every time you play Champions League, it’s a big game. Everyone is watching you, so, yeah, happy to be back.”

With Chelsea and in Lyon, Hazard has won just about every domestic trophy except the Champions League and he wants to complete the set.

“Yeah, this year is important. I have only got to the semi-final when we lost to Atletico Madrid. So, it’s in my head to win this trophy, I won the Premier League and the same in France.

“Now all the big players want to win the Champions League. I think now is time to win this. We have a good squad, good manager, so now we are ready for that.”
