Fatai Abolade, a post graduate student of the Department of Economics, University of Lagos, left home on Tuesday but never made it back.

Abolade was crushed to death by a train along the railway line at about 8:00 am around Ajayi Farms in the Anifowoshe area.

On the fateful day, Abolade was walking on the rail track while he had his earpiece on.

People on the train and passers-by tried in vain to tell him to get off the track, but his mind must have been in another realm.

The victim was said to have died instantly after being knocked out from the rail track by the fast moving train.

A University of Lagos identity card bearing his name and department was found in the deceased bag.

Other items, including a laptop, the charger, passport photographs and other personal items were also found.

The corpse has been taken away by Police officers attached to the Ikeja Police Division at about 10:00 am on Tuesday.

On his facebook wall, the deceased bagged his first degree in Economics at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU and was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Fathom Consulting Services and got married in 2013.
