No life was lost in the fire outbreak at the Total filling station on Ikosi-Ketu, Wednesday, but two petrol tankers were burnt by the inferno.

Bounce News gathered that the fire started around 6am when someone in a nearby building – a bakery – threw away a gas burner that refused to quench.

The tanker, parked inside the Total filling station, was believed to be fuel laden, and also spilling its contents.

Though a concrete fence demarcated the two properties, the spilled petrol attracted the fire from the other building.

BreadField bakery, who occupy the ground floor of the building, was alleged to be the place where the fire came from.

Director of Lagos State Fire Service Rasaq Fadipe told Bounce News that a quick response from the fire fighters prevented a worse damage.
