For many startups across Nigeria, bootstrapping is the new normal since access to capital remains elusive.

If you belong in that category, here is an opportunity you may want to take advantage of.

Nigeria’s pioneer social innovation centre, the Co-Creation Hub, CcHUB has announced its 2018/2019 incubation programme.

The 12-month incubation programme seeks to provide startups with the resources and support they need to grow their businesses into sustainable companies that employ people and solve local problems.

Startups who take part in the programme stand a chance to get equity investment of up to $25,000, about 10 million naira during the program.

They may also get direct access to possible follow-on capital of up to $250,000, about 100 million naira from the Growth Capital fund by CcHUB.

In the announcement posted on its website, CcHUB said: “The 2018/19 Program is scheduled to start first week in April and applications are now officially open.

“Although the deadline for submission is March 16, applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until all spaces are filled so startups are advised to apply early”.

It added: “The program is open to startup teams from anywhere in the world that are looking to grow their businesses in Africa, particularly Nigeria.

“We are looking for committed and ambitious founders with technology solutions that have gained some tractions, generating revenue, addresses a clear need/want and has the potential to scale.”
