"Nigeria is moving backwards and only the PDP can stop this decline".

That's according to the Chairman of the PDP's Caretaker Committee, Ahmed Markafi. He says one way to revive Nigeria is to get back the PDP's founding members.

The national leader of the Accord Party, Sen. Rashidi Ladoja is one of such persons who defected in 2011.

Makarfi has shown seriousness by visiting the former Oyo state governor at home to w him back.

He said, "Presently, Nigeria is at cross road with issues of security, joblessness and instead of going forward we are regressing backward."

“And we believe that a party with a national widespread should henceforth be operating and allowing level praying ground which the present leadership of the party stands for.

“We are here to take you back to where you rightly belong.

"We want you to be with us so we can start together from the Ward, LG to state; reason we are putting everything on hold in Oyo State," he said.

"Our national convention is slated for December and we want you to be part of us as one big family," Makarfi stated.

He even promised that an unconditional waiver will be given to Ladoja’s group but trust the Accord man to remind PDP of the genesis of their divorce.

"Initially, we didn't want to leave PDP by the time we left but it was only in the party that serving governors were arbitrarily removed.

“Fayose (Ayo), Ekiti State was removed, my humble-self was removed in Oyo State; Chris Ngige of Anambra state was removed in a party that supposed to protect us.

“Where is the party supremacy then?

"When my colleagues Sen. Femi Lanlehin came to me that, Oga, this is the time for you to come in; I said I needed assurances from them because, parties have a way of easing who they do not want.

"But by your presence here; I know you are here for a serious business and we would communicate our resolution to you soonest,” he said.
