Most of the victims of Boko Haram attacks are getting all the medical support that they need.

Through the support of Victims Support Fund, the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, provided free medical treatment to 900 victims of Boko Haram attacks between 2015 and now.

The Chairman of the UMTH Medical Advisory Committee, Dr. Bashir Tahir, disclosed this on Thursday while speaking with the newsmen in Maiduguri.

Tahir confirmed that the treatments were provided in collaboration with the Victims Support Fund, VSF.

The VSF had in 2015 provided 30 million Naira to the hospital for free treatment of all victims of Boko Haram attacks, including bomb blasts, gunshot wounds and other forms of attacks.

“The idea is to remove any impediment to the treatment of any person who suffered attacks from the insurgents. Between 2015 and date, we have provided free treatment to 900 victims. This year alone, we have treated 300 patients,” said Tahir.
