It is the dream of every tenants to move to their own apartment, whether built, bought or inherited.

And when such dreams come true, the joy is overwhelming.

But what could have caused the death of six member of a family on the first night in their new apartment?

Their new home in Sagamu, Ogun State was thrown into mourning, hours after moving in, as they were found dead in strange circumstances.

The family, including a father, mother and three children, between ages 3-13, were found dead, alongside a family friend at their new home, located at Ayepe axis of the town.

The deaths have raised an eyebrow in the area, as members of the family just moved from their rented apartment into their newly built house on Wednesday.

They were believed to have died hours later, on Wednesday night.

Sources say, neighbors on perceiving foul odour from the house on Thursday, alerted the police, and the bodies of members of the family and their visitor were taken to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in the town.

Hundreds of people had besieged the morgue of the teaching hospital, weeping over the incident.

Spokesman of the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi says the mystery behind the deaths will be found out.
