You will remember the music duo, Artquake for the many hits like Abule lawa, Alanta keeping them relevant for over two decades.

They are not one of those old-timers you would ask ‘where have you been?’ that is due to their consistency.

As a matter of fact, the longevity of the duo together made them seem like one group that would never break up.

But they did in 2017 and the rest, as they say, is now history. One half of the duo is Ad-X and he has moved on by releasing a new solo effort.

It is his first work since the Artquake breakup and he maintains their style of flowing with trends. This time, it is a shaku shaku themed song titled Honourable Shaku Shaku.

But how was it working alone after being used to his partner, Ice-K for several years?

In a chat with Bounce News, he said: “Is not easy because I never saw it coming anytime soon and I was not prepared before he broke d news on Tunde Ednut’s page.

“I had to call him and ask if it was true that we had broken up and he replied yes. Since then, I have moved on.”

Was there a fight? Disagreement? “No fight, it was just one of those disagreements we used to have, and we solved amicably”

Any hope of reconciliation? Ad-X replied, “Yep I believe some day”.

Listen to Honourable Shaku Shaku Here:

As for his new single, Ad-X is not about to teach you another way to dance shaku shaku but simply wants to show us the honourable, calm and easy side of it.

“The idea is to follow the trend and to bring out something new from shaku shaku.”
