"Nigeria is under a siege. Don't you know? Have I not said it before it started?

"I saw insurrection coming and God revealed it to me on May 23, 1992.

“Fulani herdsmen are jihadists spreading across the nation, but judgement will answer on their head.

Many members of the Living Faith Tabernacle gathered in Ota, Ogun State, for a special programme, “One Night With the King”,  to pray and hear from God, as members of the church are on a proclaimed fast.

The all-night programme held on Friday came at a time that the New Year has been laced with news of deaths and heartless murders of Nigerians in some states by arms-carrying herdsmen.

It is a situation that has left many Nigerians asking questions and the Presiding Bishop of the church, David Oydepo, is one of them.

While delivering a sermon, Bishop Oyedepo asked why the government and security personnel have not taken a definite stand.

“You enter into people’s farms and then you kill them.

“In a nation, there is mass burial of people killed by herdsmen. Where are the security agents? Who is manipulating them?” he questioned.

The Bishop further questioned why herdsmen have not been arrested and tried in connection with the Benue killing, as a way to show seriousness in tackling the herdsmen scourge.

Bishop Oyedipo also stressed that Nigeria needed prayer and made a few proclamations.

"Every war monger is judged. Agents of the devil who are out to destabilise Nigeria are judged.

"Everyone who has made children motherless and fatherless, their own children will be fatherless and motherless,” he prayed.

The Bishop further highlighted that his comments were not sponsored, but made in obedience to God.

"I have never made a sponsored statement in my life. I say what God wants me to say.

"I will never run for any political position,” he added.

Bishop Oyedepo’s comments are coming a day after over 50 persons killed by herdsmen in Benue State were buried.
