Hensen Demonstration Secondary School Benin beat Holy Ghost Secondary School, Owerri 2-0 to lift the trophy at the NNPC/Shell Cup 2017.

Two goals via penalty by Iyobor Arase in both halves was all the Benin club needed to claim the N2.5 million as champions.

Arase scored the first goal in the 30th minute when the goalkeeper from Holy Ghost Secondary School tripped a goal-bound attacker inside the 18-yard box for a penalty, which was nicely converted.

In the second half, another defensive error was committed, resulting to another penalty which Iyobor also scored.

Holy Ghost Secondary School finished as first-runners up and were awarded N1.5m.

Iyobor emerged the highest goal scorer with seven goals. He was also awarded the MVP prize. He will travel to Rotterdam in the Netherlands (on an all expenses paid trip) where he will participate in a special training camp.
