Head Of INEC's ICT Unit Dies In Fatal Accident
The Independent Electoral Commission INEC has lost a key staff.
The commission’s Head of ICT, Emmanuel Akem died in a fatal road mishap at Garaku, along the Lafia-Makurdi road on Wednesday.
It was gathered that the incident was caused by a drunk official of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) who also lost his life in the process.
Confirming the sad incident on Thursday, one of the deceased's siblings, Victor said the family is yet to announce the burial date.
“I witnessed my dear brother’s lifeless body being conveyed from FMC Keffi to Garki general hospital, Abuja."
Prior to his elevation as Head of ICT of the commission, Akem was the Director, Voters Registration.
Akem, an engineer by training, studied Telecommunications Engineering at the Ahmadu Bello University.
