It feels just like yesterday when the news broke that legendary Nigerian music producer, Babatunde Okungbuwa aka OJB Jezreel had died after a long battle with kidney failure.

The Nigerian music industry shook to its roots because Jigga, as we called him, touched too many lives that you start to wonder if he had more than his two hands.

Its already two years since his passing and it is already looking like he has been totally forgotten...even by those whose careers he helped birth.

It can be frustrating and his wife, Korede Okungbowa, cannot stomach this anymore. Not even a plan to hold a remembrance for him!

She did a three-minute video in which she called on his former associates to help the family to organize an event in his remembrance.

“I am making this video to call out some certain people to see what we can do about OJB’s two-year remembrance," she said.

“Last year I tried to hold an OJB legacy seminar in memory of him, to retain his legacy and appreciate the life he has lived as a producer and artiste, a father, brother and lover of all, thank God it was a success with the little help I could get from friends and family”

However, its not been easy trying to do same again on her own and she called on “anybody who knows that OJB has done something for them while he was alive and there is something that can be done while there is still time”.

“Please, you know yourselves…I’m not going to mention your names. if you feel concerned to do something about OJB’s two-year remembrance, please do. Call us the family, let’s do something about it’, she said in closing.

The singer/songwriter helped launch the careers of major superstars such as Wizkid, Ruggedman, 2Face Idibia, Jazzman Olofin, and played key roles in the successes of the likes of D’banj, Weird MC, Faze, Iyanya, Durella, Wizkid, Yemi Alade and a host of others.
