Efforts to flush Boko Haram out of northeast Nigeria have continued.

While the terrorists infiltrate communities in Borno State, troops are battling them. 

It is 10 days into the new year and several attacks have been launched by troops on terrorists hideouts.

One of the recent battles happened in Damsak and an unconfirmed number of terrorists were killed. 

Troops of the 145 Battalion, Nigerian Army, engaged Boko Haram terrorists in fierce battle few days after a battle for Baga which resulted in the death of a naval official.

Images have been shared by the Nigerian Army on its Facebook page all in the first week of the year, detailing exploits of troops in the northeast and arm recoveries from terrorists.
