The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has again thanked Nigerians for their support and votes during the presidential election of February 23, 2019.

He says their vote for him in the election proved a point.

"Thank you for the massive vote that you have given to my party, the Peoples Democratic Party and all our candidates during the presidential and National Assembly elections.

"Our performance during the elections testifies to your belief in our ability to steer Nigeria away from the current drift and put it on the path of sustainable development growth.

"As we move to the governorship and state elections on March 9, I urge you to come out in larger numbers to peacefully vote for PDP, from top to bottom," he said in the video he shared on Twitter.

He insisted that Nigerians voted in the face of intimidation and criminal conspiracy by the incumbent government.

"By your actions on Saturday, February 23, 2019, you have demonstrated to the world that democracy works.

"Wherever democracy works, the will of the people always prevail," he said.

According to him, the great march of the PDP cannot be stopped even though the desire to get Nigeria working again has been slowed down.

The PDP candidate has gone to court and requested that his party should be allowed to examine election materials.
