It's fast becoming a trend to tell cabinet members "Adios"!

In less than 2 weeks, some governors in Southern Nigeria have not given any clear explanation for their decision to dissolve the highest ranking decision making councils in their states.

Wike just joined that list.

Simeon Nwakaudu, his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, announced this in a statement issued on Saturday.

The governor directed all former commissioners to hand over to the permanent secretaries in their ministries.

He also thanked them for their service and wished them well in their future endeavours.

The development comes one day after Austin Tam-George resigned his appointment as Commissioner for Information and Communication.

He tendered his resignation less than 24 hours after Harrison Iheanyichukwu, the state Commissioner for Works, was sacked.

Last week, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State also dissolved their cabinet in a manner that suggests a power rotation formula so that all quarters can be pleased in the area of political appointments.
