Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike wants to have fresh ideas and new voices in his head.

The governor appears tired of the ideas and concepts being presented to him by members of his team.

So, he decided to do some house cleaning by letting everyone go.

The governor, however, retained his Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Bishop Winston Iwo.

Recently, the governor sacked all his commissioners on July 24 and he is yet to reconstitute a new cabinet.

With the sacking of all the Special Advisers, the governor can best be said to be running the executive arm of government with purely career civil servants without partisan politicians, at least until he appoints new ones.

Could this a case of sharing the state cake for others to chop or he really got tired of nonproductive fat salary earners?
