Governor Replaces Late Aide Who Died In Accident With Son
To compensate for the death of the bread winner of the family, who died in active service, a governor has appointed the son of the deceased for the same position.
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has replaced his late aide, Emmanuel Anaga, who died in a fatal motor accident last Friday, with his son, Emmanuel (Jnr).
The deceased’s Sports Utility Vehicle collided with a commercial bus at about 8.30 p.m., leaving him and three other persons dead.
Late Anaga was the governor’s technical adviser on Agriculture.
The governor had earlier announced that the son of his late aide will be made the Vice Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government but opted to give him his father’s position after family members pleaded with him.
Confirming the governor’s action in Abakaliki, his Principal Secretary, Clement Nweke, said it was a way of appreciating his efforts in the development of the state.
