Sometimes the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, could be so funny.

He loves to make subtle mockery of members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and he has found another opportunity to.

Ekiti State will hold a governorship election on Saturday, July 14 that will bring into office a new administration.

Fayose has been pushing for his anointed one, his deputy, Professor Kolapo Olusola, and the battle is getting tougher.

On Tuesday, the APC held a rally to support their candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and the top members of the party were present.

After the Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, addressed the crowd and made several comments about the incumbent governor, mentioning his name several times, the Minister of Labour, Dr. Chris Ngige, mounted the stage.

With the Ekiti governor's name still ringing bell in his head, Ngige mentioned 'Fayose' instead of Fayemi several times in his statement that was meant to push for support for the APC candidate.

It was a thing of surprise for many persons in the crowd, but Fayose believes it was a genuine course that deserves commendation.

"I thank my good friend, Dr Chris Ngige for campaigning for me at the APC rally in Ado Ekiti yesterday.

"Dr. Ngige is a man who is not always afraid to say the truth and that's what he demonstrated yesterday even in the presence of the President and other APC leaders," he wrote on Twitter.
