Outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose is confident that his party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), would be victorious in a suit it filed against the election of Kayode Fayemi as governor-elect

Candidate of the PDP in the July 14 governorship election, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, who is Fayose's Deputy, is challenging the victory of Fayemi, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fayemi, who emerged winner in 11 of the 16 local government areas of the state, polled 197,459 to beat his closest rival, Olusola, who got 178,121 votes.

But Fayose has assured his faithful that Olusola would get a favourable ruling at the election Tribunal.

He noted that the people of state are in pains over the victory achieved by the APC in the election.
