Recording artiste and guitarist, Adetoye Adeyemi, who is also known as Y Pick, feels instrumentalists need more recognition.

The exceptional guitar player who  has worked with Sound Sultan, Banky W, MasterKraft, Wizkid, Dede Mabiaku, Runtown and  Edaoto spoke to Bounce News.

"I feel instrumentalists should get more recognition, and royalties for the work that they do for other musicians. For example I was the one that played the guitar in Runtown's hit song 'Mad Over You' but no one recognizes me" he said to Bounce News.

In 2013, his guitar cover for  Sean Tizzle's hit single 'Sho lee' had 1 million downloads within 3 days.

Now he complains that apart from not getting recognition, it is difficult to get permission from artistes to allow him  do guitar covers for their songs, and compile them in an album.

"I have been planning to release an album for awhile, but whenever I try to get permission from artistes, they ask if I am going to use it in an album, and if the the album will make money. Its quite difficult" he said.

He also told Bounce News that he would love to work with Davido, and plans to start a conversation with him by sliding into his DM.

"Like in the case of DJ's I am hoping instrumentalists can start an organization that would join all instrumentalists together, this would help us get the recognition we need.

''Also one person I would love to work with again is Davido, I have done backup for him before in Port Harcourt. I think I would just slide into his DM, and see if we can make great music together."
