Fuel Scarcity: 3 Reasons 2Face Idibia's New Protest Is Dead On Arrival
As Nigerians bear the uncomfortable weight of another fuel scarcity, musician, 2Face Idibia has called for a protest and boycott of filling stations, selling petroleum products at unofficial prices.
“Make we start campaign say make dem shut down any filling station wey no dey sell petrol normal”, the African Queen crooner wrote on his official twitter handle.
Here are 3 reasons why his call for a rise against filling stations cannot work.
1. Nigerians believe that 2Face Idibia will cancel his new call for protest, like he did the last one that still held in February to protest the harsh economic crisis facing Nigerians.
2. Nigerians need fuel to power their businesses and homes, so protesting will make them lose more money during Christmas.
3. President Muhammadu Buhari on December 24, announced that new shipments and supplies of fuel will be distributed across the country in the coming days. Buhari said he has also directed the regulators to step up their surveillance and bring an end to hoarding.
