When it comes to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), wonders indeed shall never end.

First it was  Philomena Chieshe, a JAMB sales clerk in Benue State  who claimed a snake swallowed ?36 million.

Now Labaran Tanko, a JAMB staff in Nasarawa State, said scratch cards worth ?23 million were destroyed in an inferno, that destroyed his car.

Upon investigation by a board set up by JAMB, it was discovered that Tanko had lied.

The board discovered that  the cards were  used by students in Nasarawa State.

When confronted with the allegation that he had siphoned the ?23 million, Tanko stood by his claims.

" I thank God that I am alive today.I had an accident on July 3rd 2016. I was not the one that packed the cards because I was rushed to the hospital, and they came to pack the burnt scratch cards to the office but it could not be counted.

I have the serial numbers of the cards."  he said.

Philomena in her own case denied the allegations that she stole the money, but claims her housemaid and  another JAMB staff used the snake, to steal the money from the vault in the account office.

The board has said Tanko, as well as Philomena, will be handed over to the police.
