Fraudsters were all over the social media space in 2017 and nothing suggests they will tone down on their operations in 2018.

It is in this light that Super Eagles star, Wilfred Ndidi has issued a fraud alert to all that he does not have any Facebook account and people should be careful not to fall into the hands of scammers.

Ndidi, after tweeting in celebration to Leicester City's 3-0 win on New Year's Day, was told by one of his fans that he has not responded to his chat on Facebook.

It is not the first time that football figures and indeed other celebrities will come out in public to dissociate themselves from cloned accounts on Facebook.
