Former Minister of Sports Joins Kwara Guber Race
Former Minister for Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has formerly declared his intention to run for governorship on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Kwara State.
Abdullahi, popularly called “Omoluabi” made his official declaration on Wednesday at ARCA Santa event Centre in Ilorin Kwara State.
Abdullahi said his goals focus on youth empowerment for growth, competitiveness and economic transformation as well as quality education, skills development and he would support lifelong learning.
He added that he would ensure good health and improved well-wellbeing, added that he would develop infrastructure for economic growth and improved livelihood
He also stressed that he would promote good governance for transparency, efficiency and accountability.
He added that his vision was to make Kwara state a shining example for good governance, where the full potentials of children were nurtured, where the youths were truly empowered, where the most vulnerable among them were best protected and where government works for all.
He called on his supporters to use his goals against him if he fails to deliver when given the mandate.
In company of the guber aspirant are; the Secretary to the Kwara State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, serving and retired Permanent Secretaries in the state , serving and former local government chairmen, PDP members and supporters among others.
