Foreign Investors To Enjoy 'e-registration' In Nigeria - CAC
Doing business in Nigeria is becoming more attractive with the bureaucratic bottlenecks softening and credibility rating soaring.
If you are a foreigner from America, UK and China looking to invest in Nigeria, this development should excite you.
Besides a visit to observe due diligence, there would be no need for you to visit Nigeria to register your company.
You can now do that from your any part of the world.
The government agency in charge of registering businesses in Nigeria, the Corporate Affairs Commission, said it has made provisions for such foreign investors.
This came from the horse’s mouth – the Registrar-General of CAC, Bello Muhmud.
Mahmud said this at a formal presentation of Quality Management Service (QMS) standard certification to the Commission in Abuja.
The certification is in addition to other international standard certifications the CAC has bagged in the past.
The CAC boss noted that the achievement of the three ISO certificates has enhanced the commission’s service delivery and made business registration process easier.
“The certification has enhanced the growth of the economy both in domestic and foreign investment. If you are in UK, US, China, you can now register your company from there without coming to the commission or Nigeria.
“The only thing the Commission will do is to send your certificate to you by post because we are not doing certification online right now. This is an encouragement for people outside the country, those coming with their direct investment and those doing business in Nigeria,” Mahmud said.
