The National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers (NANPF) has concluded plans to hold the first Stephen Keshi Memorial Lecture.

The event will take place at the Conference Hall of the Petrol Station Workers Union Along Benin Auchi Road on June 7, 2017 by 11.am

Late Keshi died in Benin on the 7th of June 2016.

As a player, Keshi captained the senior team, the Nigeria Super Eagles for more than a decade with an outstanding record of being one of the only two persons that has won the Africa Nations Cup, both as a player and coach.

According to the organizers, first Stephen Keshi Memorial lecture, apart from being a remembrance event, will serve as a most veritable platform in highlighting  and showcasing the unconfined contributions of The Big Boss to the overall development of African Football.

The Guest Speaker for the lecture is Mike Idoko, an astute Football Administrator, current chairman of Lobi Stars Football, and will be supported by other personalities within and outside Football. 

The memorial lecture is part of activities engaged by the players’ union  to sustain the momentum of immortalizing late Stephen Keshi .
