It has been a long, sad week for the family of late Doctor Allwell Orji. It is an experience no one wants to go through.

First, it was the news of their son committing suicide by jumping off the Third Mainland Bridge; next was the search for his body which lasted three days, and now it is the horrible sight of the recovered body.

The Lagos State Police Command said the body of late Dr. Allwell has been identified by representatives of the family.

“Just to be sure, we have called the driver, who was with him when the incident happened, and of course his younger brother (Austin Orji) who had been with us and they have positively identified the body to be that of Dr. Allwell," he told Channels TV.

“As the practice is, we will continue with our investigation to do all the other necessary things before the body can be released to the family.

“The thing happened towards the Adekunle area but as usual with tidal waves, the body was moved almost about seven kilometers from the main spot.”

Owoseni said the police will conduct an autopsy before handing the body over to the bereaved family.
