The South African Women’s U20 national team are expected in Nigeria on Wednesday ahead of the second leg of the final round of FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria's Falconets.

The two nations will meet on Saturday, 27 January at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City in what promises to be a tough but exciting encounter.

The Falconets look home and dry; having secured a 2-0 cushion in the reverse fixture away from home a fortnight ago but the youthful Basetsana are not throwing in the towel.

Under the stewardship of former Banyana Banyana players, Maud Khumalo and Simphiwe Dludlu, the young South African Ladies have been hard at work with the aim of upturning the scoreline.

On their part, having edged past Tanzania and Morocco earlier in the qualifying series, coach Christopher Danjuma’s ladies are keen to seal their qualification for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup - France 2018.

The 9th FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals will hold in from the 7th to 26th of August 2018.
