One of Africa's representative at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in France, Ghana have crashed out of the tournament after they suffered another defeat against the Netherlands in their second group game.

Having lost their group opener against host France 4-1, Ghana needed at least a draw against the Dutch to still stay alive in the Women's cadet World Cup.

However, things turned out worse as the West Africans were pummeled 4-0 by their Netherlands counterparts who have effectively sealed their place in the quarter finals on the strength of their 100 % run so far.

France played a barren draw against New Zealand in the other Group A tie, thus meaning that either teams can still qualify for the quarter finals even though the host are at advantage.

France will be needing just a draw in their last game against Netherlands to pull through while victory for New Zealand over Ghana may still be inadequate, it is non-negotiable to stand any chance of pulling through.
