After their opening day loss to Germany, coach of Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s team, Chris Danjuma is set to make some changes for the crucial game against Haiti.

It is understood that Gift Monday will return to the Falconets starting XI for Thursday’s make-or-mar clash against Haiti after she served out a one-match ban from the qualifiers.

The goal-scoring left winger, who has much pace and creativity, was sorely missed against the Germans.

Coach Danjuma is also be expected to ring two or more changes to the team which lost 1-0 to three-time champions on Monday.

The Nigerian girls are bottom of the group after the loss to Germany and face a tough game from debutants Haiti, who impressed despite going down 2-1 to the highly-rated Chinese in their first match.

Striker Rasheedat Ajibade was the Falconets top scorer in the qualifiers with 10 goals, but she was disappointing against Germany as Nigeria lacked the cutting edge in front of goal.

Haiti will not be pushovers from what they showed against China.

The islanders, who eliminated highly ranked Canada to reach this World Cup, are quick and can match the power of the Falconets.

Kick-off time is 3.30pm.
