FIFA Player Of The Year: Salah, Ronaldo, Mbape Make Shortlist
English Premier League top scorer, Mohamed Salah and UEFA Champions League winner, Cristiano Ronaldo have been shortlisted for the FIFA BEST Player Of The Year.
Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid beat Salah’s Liverpool 3-1 to win their 3rd consecutive UEFA Champions League trophy in Kiev.
The Portuguese has since joined Italian giants Juventus after 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Other shortlisted candidates are Kylian Mbappe who won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France and was voted Young Player of the Tournament.
Croatia captain, Luka Modric was included in the list for leading his country to the final of the World Cup, their best performance since winning bronze in 1998.
Belgium captain Eden Hazard, that of England, Harry Kane and Argentina’s Lionel Messi also got a place in the shortlist.
Nigeria's Emmanuel Emuneke is part of the panel that decided on the top contenders.
