D’Tigress coach Otis Hughley was full of confidence during the team’s training at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

The defending African champions are preparing for the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup to be hosted by Spain.

After weeks of training in the United States, D’Tigress moved to Lagos where they will play some friendly matches as they intensify preparation.

At the end of the team’s morning session on Wednesday, Bounce Sports approached Hughley, and his confidence was convincing.

“We know its gonna be tough out there (at the World Cup), so we are not taking anything for granted. You don’t attack someone with a gun, using a knife.”

“So you will know how ready we are for this, when we get to Spain and play one or two games.

“We have a team that can face any side in the world, and we are not relenting.”

Nigeria is in Group B alongside Argentina, Turkey and Australia.

The 16-team tournament will begin on September 22 and end on September 30.
