The last day of Felabration in 2018 was another reminder that the 2019 elections are around the corner.

The last day meant that only the best of Nigerian music was offered to the audience.

The musicians, who ‘shut down’ the Afrikan Shrine on the final day include, Davido, 2Face Idibia, Slimcase, Mayorkun, Wande Coal, Dr Sid and Sound Sultan.

Politics was on the minds of both the musicians and the organizers of the event.

The first reminder of Nigeria's elections in  2019 was when Vice President Osinbajo showed up at the Afrikan Shrine.

Femi Kuti told Osinbajo that he had no plans of supporting the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), or the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) because of the principles of his father.

He also denied collecting money from the government during the planning stage of Felabration 2018.

Fans got the election fever during the performances of Femi Kuti, 2Face Idibia and Sound Sultan, who sang about corruption and bad leadership.

The DMW boss was a huge influence and support to his uncle Ademola Adeleke during the Osun State governorship election.

Davido believes that his uncle was robbed.

Like the last time that Bounce News was at the Afrikan Shrine, there was also a lot of ‘throwing’ both literally and figuratively.

Wande Coal, 2Face Idibia, Dr Sid, Davido and Sound Sultan all did ‘throwbacks’ and sang some of the popular songs that brought them into the limelight, and this made the crowd ecstatic.

Then, of course, Slimcase threw 1000 Naira bills into the crowd, while Davido brought an end to his performance by throwing his shoes and shirt into the crowd.

When he took his OBO, gold and diamond encrusted chain off, at first people thought he was going to throw the chain.

Well if you missed the last day of Felabration, then you must wait for another 365 days before the next one.
