The primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has come to an end and one person that is happy about the outcome of the process is the Governor of the State, Mr Ayodele Fayose.

He is happy that the APC chose a former governor, Kayode Fayemi, whom he defeated to clinch the governorship position some four years ago.

After the election, Governor Fayose, in a sarcastic way, posted a comment on the election on his Twitter page, expressing his joy.

"I thank the APC for giving Ekiti people a candidate they love to vote against at all times," he stated.

He also warned the former governor not to rejoice yet.

"Fayemi should not celebrate this pyrrhic victory yet because it is nothing but a flame that will be quenched on July 14.

"He should expect to suffer worse defeat compared to that of 2014," he insisted.

The APC primary election was held on Saturday and the former governor emerged winner.

Meanwhile, Fayemi has asked the people of Ekiti for forgiveness over his actions during his first tenure as governor between 2010 and 2014. Whether the apology is coming late is one thing that will be seen in coming days.
