The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose has suspended the state Commissioner for Education, Babajide Egunjobi and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Adekunbi Obaise.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka in an interview confirmed the suspension.

It is a disciplinary measure, he said.

Olayinka noted that the two public officers were suspended for abandoning their duties.

He explained that the state Commissioner for Education and Permanent Secretary were expected to stay off work and remain at home for the period of three months.
