Fayose Heads To Ibadan For PDP Rally After Lagos Accident
Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose is already in Ibadan for the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign scheduled to hold in the Oyo State capital on Thursday.
This comes hours after he was involved in an accident on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.
Fayose had driven his white G-Wagon which rammed into a broken down commercial bus and a patrol motorcycle parked beside.
Although no life was lost, it was gathered that shattered glasses penetrated Fayose’s body.
The former governor was administered first aid by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) at the scene of the incident and was later transferred to a private hospital for proper medical attention.
Fayose had since been discharged from the hospital.
Former Chief Press Secretary to Fayose, Idowu Adelusi, who confirmed the accident, said: “It is true that he was involved in an accident, but a minor accident”.
Adelusi disclosed that the governor’s car rammed into a stationary commercial vehicle on the bridge. He said, “Nobody sustained injuries. The governor’s car only had minor damage.
“He is already on his way to Ibadan for the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign rally for the South West billed for tomorrow (Thursday),” Adelusi said.
