The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, is not making any pretenses about his desire to become Nigeria’s next President.

The governor, whose tenure expires in 2018,  has launched his presidential campaign.

The launched took place on Tuesday on some of his social media accounts.

The governor opened a Facebook page and a Twitter handle for his presidential ambition.

On the page, with the motto – ‘Strong, Reliable and Rugged’,  Fayose called on Nigerians to "behold their next president".

He described himself with words like: ‘Pro Masses. Accessible. Ekiti State Governor. Chairman, PDP Governors’ Forum. Husband and Father.. He’s Peter (The Rock)’.

His Twitter handle, @Oshoko2019, is still dormant.

Fayose had initially said he would approach the Supreme Court to determine his eligibility to run again for the office of governor of his state because of his inability to finish his first term in office.

The governor, whose impeachment then had been declared null and void by the apex court, has said there is need to finish his first four years in office.

Last week, the PDP zoned the position of the party’s presidential candidate to the northern part of the country.
