Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has expressed his joy over the release of his Commissioner of Finance and Accountant General in an incredible way.

The governor has declared Thursday (today) as a half-working day for civil servants in the state.

Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Wednesday released the detained Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance, Toyin Ojo and the state’s Accountant General, Yemisi Owolabi.

Ojo and Owolabi were arrested by the EFCC on the day Fayose declared his ambition to contest for the presidency over allegations of misappropriating the bail-out funds allocated to the state.

To express his joy, Fayose directed all public servants in the state to work for half day on Thursday to enable them join him to give a heroic welcome to the duo.

Fayose, who described the release of the duo as another victory over the APC and their EFCC collaborators, said a rally will be organized at Fajuyi, Ado Ekiti to celebrate the release.
