“Falz’s Sweet Boys Association Will End In 6 Months”
Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz recently came up with what is now known as the Sweet Boys Association (SBA).
The association is opened to the general male public with the award-winning musician creating a logo, website and a code of conduct.
With every young male aspiring to join the trending association, some Nigerians have taken to social media to call members of the association derogatory names including:vmale slay queens, low budget gigolos, Yahoo Yahoo men, Sugar boys and Fine Boys.
Even though Falz is yet to reply to this accusations, music promoter and manager, Kaycee Oguejiofor who himself was recently connected with controversy over calling out Harrysong, spoke to Bounce News about the relevance of the Sweet Boys Association (SBA).
"When I first saw the video for ‘Sweet Boy’ and heard about the association, I knew Falz’s PR team are very strategic, because creating this movement or association would help the song become a big hit", he said.
“Falz is a talent, he has gotten to the point where everything he does is strategic. He does not put out anything just like that. Everything he does, every music he releases is a move to make him remain relevant.
"In the next one or two years, no in the next 6 months, people would move on from this whole Sweet Boys Association episode, because Falz would have achieved his aim of making the song popular.
"Then again I do not trust people in any political season, people might just be using the registration for joining the association as a way to collect data for all these politicians, because these musicians have influence. Like I said before, he is very strategic. This is my opinion” Kaycee said.
