There was mild drama on Friday at the trial of Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike a.k.a Evans, and his alleged accomplices.

A lawyer to one of accussed threatened to slap a journalist for taking pictures of his client in court.

The incident happened just after the six accused entered the court room.

Joseph Ogogbolu representing the third accused in the case, Ogechi Uchechukwu stood up from seat and went to meet the journalists who were trying to take shots of the six accused.

"What is this? Why are you taking the pictures of my client.

“I will smash your devices if you continue to take pictures in the court room.

“You have the opportunity of taking pictures outside and not inside the court”, Ogogbolu said

“We can take pictures. The court has not started sitting”, the journalists responded.

At this point, the lawyer moved closer to one the journalists and threatened to slap her.

"You cannot, the journalist fired back."

Other journalist rose in her defence.

It took the intervention of security men before the situation was brought under control.
